Have you seen thundering smoke ever? What’s that? The answer is the Victoria Waterfalls – some of the largest waterfalls ever seen. The Victoria Falls is a waterfall destination located in southern Africa. It lies on the Zambezi River between the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The falls are also known as the Mosi-oa-Tunya, which means the “Smoke that Thunders” because of their air or smoke like appearance when they fall from the top making a thunder like noise. The Victoria Falls are considered by some to be one of the seven natural wonders of the world. History The history of Victoria Falls tells us that they were first discovered by a Scottish missionary named David Livingstone. The island of Madeira is famous for being a passing stop for cruises when they traveling from Europe to the Caribbean side. This island is a part of Europe although it is closer to Africa. It is essentially an archipelago that belongs to Portugal.The weather here on the island is awesome throughout the year. You will experience days being a little sunny with slight rainfall throughout the year. You can get there by the two airports on the island, as well as the ferried which let you take your vehicle along as well. You can opt to take the many private buses which take you around the island. Madeira, like every other holiday destination has sunny beaches, good food, sandy shores and nice things to look at. Spectacular Belize Barrier Reef

The Barrier Reef is situated nearly half a mile toward the winward side of the island. It is arguably the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere. It is the second largest barrier reef in the world. Three distinct atoll reefs lie to the east of the Barrier Reef. A fourth atoll reef, called Banco Chinchorro, is also present. It lies to the north in the Mexican waters. This is of special interest to wreck divers. All three Belize atoll reefs are situated on two tiers of submarine ridges: Turneffe and Glover’s located on one ridge and Lighthouse on the other ridge that lies to east. This explains their similar outlines and northeast-southwest orientations. Marine trenches help separate the two ridges. As travelers move toward the south, they are able to see the reef as an unbroken chain comprising of white surf that runs along the Caribbean  [...]

Crystal River is situated nearly 67 miles north of Tampa along the wonderful nature coast. It is often called as ‘Gem of the nature coast’. The city of Florida is bordered by Crystal River and King’s Bay, which has received classification from the State to be an Outstanding Florida Water. The river comprises of a beautiful network of nearly 30 springs, which start at the northwest end at King’s Bay. They move west for approximately six miles and then enter the Gulf of Mexico. The water activities that you can indulge in include boating, diving, fishing, and swimming. You can also hire a bike or go hiking at the Withlacoochee State Trail. If sedentary activities are your choice, go bird and manatee watching. This is only a partial list of activities to indulge in while at the river. Scintillating Similan Islands

Similan Islands lie 84 km northwest of the deckchairs and the huge crowds of Patong beach in Phuket. It is a famous group of islands in the Andaman Sea. Its fame rests on the clear blue waters that are part of the islands. Similan islands are among the top ten diving areas of the world. This famous archipelago is a favorite destination for yachts and boat tours. Similan is derived from the Malay word ‘sembilan’, which means ‘nine’. Each one of the Similan Islands has a number and name. Koh Ba Ngu is number 9 while Payu is number 7. During the past, sea levels have fluctuated by nearly 150 m. This is due to the advance and retreat of the polar ice caps. These islands have been battered by storms and have remained underwater. Discovered as recently as in 2001, the waters of Raja Ampat archipelago off Irian Jaya, an Indonesian Province on the northwest coast of Sorong, are often referred to as ‘the New Palau’ – courtesy its remoteness, reef system and a vibrant marine life. Location Raja Ampat, or the Four Kings, in fact lie in what is known as the coral triangle. This area includes reefs of northern Australia, Indonesia, Philippines and Papua New Guinea, between the Indian and the Pacific Ocean.  The Raja Ampat archipelago comprises over 1,500 small islands, cays and shoals. One of the world’s most beautiful coastlines is the Rikuchu coast, a 180 kilometer shoreline on the northwest part of Japan, facing the Pacific Ocean. It is a part of the Rikuchu-Kaigan National Park and extends from the northern part of Iwate Prefucture south to Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture. The northern part of this coastal park is adorned by high cliffs and rock formations and in the southern half is the typical Rias-type coast. How to reach The site is easily accessible by trains and buses. Tour buses and boats too operate to the coast, though boating is not possible in winters. When to visit Summers are when you should explore this coast. The Cinque Terre means the five lands, which here refers to five villages of Montesso Al Mare, Vernazza, Coriglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore – from north to south, perched on the cliffs over the Mediterranean.  The entire Cinque Terre Coastline is a National Park and a Protected Marine Area. Portovenere encompasses the three villages of Fezzano, Le Grazie and Portovenere and the three Islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. Location Eleven miles of coastline on the northwest of Italy, between the Genoa and La Spezia cities, is the stretch of The Cinque Terre, facing the Mediterranean. Portovenere is located in the Italian coast of the Liguria, in the La Spezia Province. Portovenere, Cinque Terre and the Islands are enlisted as the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
